Scorp, The Video App You’ve Never Heard Of
Turkey-based startup Scorp has been quietly rising in the social/video scene. As of January, the app has picked up 3.5 million active users, with over 100,000 daily downloads. Similar to Snapchat, Scorp allows users to take 15-second videos about any topic. Users can upload their videos, into trending topics, with the hope of being discovered. A flash in the pan, or the next big thing? Gaming is on the rise, so Scorp is at least in the right market segment. (Source: TechCrunch)
