Twitter Makes a Naughty List
In an effort to curb hate crime and harassment, Twitter’s Trust & Safety Council is making a naughty list to ban certain individuals and groups. Starting today, the following will be suspended:
- Extremist groups
- Groups engaged in violence
- People or groups targeting civilians
Twitter has previously suspended high-level profiles such as Talib Kweli, Rose McGowan and even President Trump. However, they have admitted to making exceptions for groups who come to a “peaceful resolution.” Tech companies usually avoid playing police #FreeSpeech, so this is a big deal. #TwitterPurge (Source: Mashable)
Chick-fil-A Opens on Sunday
…for one Sunday that is. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, one of the busiest airports in the world, averaging 280K passengers daily, lost power for 11 hours yesterday. The outage was caused by an underground fire at Georgia Power, the airport’s utility provider. Luckily, Chick-fil-A came to the rescue to feed thousands of stranded passengers. Atlanta’s mayor, Kasim Reed, called Chick-fil-A at 10 p.m. asking for help. No word yet on what the vegetarians of the group ate. (Source: Business Insider)
