Just a week after Instagram Remix dropped, YouTube announced the March 2018 release of their own Remix, a new music subscription service. It will feature on-demand streaming while incorporating video clips from YouTube. Warner Music Group has already signed on, but YouTube is still in talks with Sony Music Entertainment and Universal Music Group. (Source: CNET)
Instant Games, Instant Streaming
Instant Games have been on Facebook Messenger for a year now. To celebrate its first birthday, Facebook is adding live streaming and video chat features. Live streaming lets players broadcast gameplay to their personal profile or page, similar to Twitch, and video chat adds a face-to-face element to competitive games. Hotel of the Future
Hilton is beta testing a connected room experience that will bring smart home features to its hotel rooms. Guests will be able to personalize their room using the Hilton Honors App. The app will serve as a TV remote, light switch, and thermostat. In the long run, Hilton plans to have rooms that respond to voice commands. Now there’s a hotel nobody will want to check out of. (Source: The Verge)
