Facebook Launches Community Help
Today Facebook is expanding its Safety Check feature that allows friends to declare they’re safe after a disaster with the launch of “Community Help.” The feature allows locals to aid people nearby, such as providing baby supplies, water, or a room in their home. Victims of natural disasters, local accidents, and other such events can search through these categorized posts and connect with providers over Facebook Messenger. Community Help launches today in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, and Saudi Arabia. If the feature is successful, Facebook hopes to roll out Community Help across the globe. E3 Video Game Expo Opened to Public
For the first time, the Electronic Entertainment Expo is now open to the public. Electronic Entertainment Expo is one of the world’s biggest game expo. No more sneaking in or having to join the game industry. GameSpot reports that the show will sell 15,000 full-access three-day tickets to the event, which runs June 13-15 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Ticket sales begin Monday, February 13th at 9:00 a.m. at $150 for one ticket the price will go up to $250 after the first 1,000 are sold. Don’t wait till last minute, buy them here. (Source: CNET)
Roses are Red; Violets Are Blue
Pokemon Go has a surprise in store for you. The event begins today and ends February 15th. During the event, all players will receive double the amount of candy when catching, hatching and transfer Pokémon. Buddy Pokémon will also find candy at twice the rate that they normally do. Also, players will have an increased chance of catching pink-colored Pokémon during the event. They’ll also hatch from eggs in greater numbers.
