Musk’s Underground Hyperloop
Elon Musk said on Twitter that he received “verbal government approval” to build an underground Hyperloop transit network connecting New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington DC, with stops connecting each city center, and a dozen more entry or exit elevators located within each city. The project would be run through The Boring Company (awesome name btw), Musk’s tunneling venture, which has already started a test dig near SpaceX HQ (reminder: Musk is the CEO of SpaceX) in California. Musk didn’t share any additional details about what he means by “verbal” approval, however, he described a network of underground tunnels that would transport goods on sleds, and that could offer transportation for cars, cargo and more, using Hyperloop as one potential conveyance option. Luis Fonsi’s song “Despacito” has become the most-streamed song of all time, just six months after it was released. The hit single has been played 4.6 billion times across all streaming services, overtaking Justin Bieber’s “Sorry,” which previously held the title. “What’s happened with this song is just insane,” said Fonsi, who hails from Puerto Rico and sings in Spanish.
“I don’t want to use the word accident because I was trying to write a hit, but I didn’t plan for it to cross over. I just wanted to make people dance.” Well considering every party we’ve been to since January plays the tune, it seems pretty clear Fonsi succeeded. (Source: BBC News)
