5 Famous Celebrities & Athletes Who Use or Endorse CBD
Since the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill in the United States, people have become increasingly interested in CBD and its potential health benefits. For the first time in federal law, the Farm Bill legally distinguishes between hemp plants and cannabis plants. This legal change has led to an increase in research and, in turn, CBD usage has increased.
The CBD industry has changed a lot over the last few years and an array of new ways to use CBD have been introduced to the market. Some of the best CBD edibles, topicals, and vapes have appeared in recent times, making CBD much more accessible.
CBD is now being used for a number of reasons, including to improve sleep, pain, and treat anxiety. All of these changes have helped to reduce the stigma surrounding CBD and has changed the way people use and think about CBD supplements. This has been further helped by a number of celebrities and athletes who have opened up about their CBD use and experiences.
#1 Marvin Washington
Since retiring from the NFL, Marvin Washington has opened up a great deal regarding his use of CBD. Former NFL defensive end player, Marvin, has discussed how his career left him with chronic aches and pains that persist even though he no longer plays professionally.
Since retiring, Marvin has been using CBD oils on a daily basis to help manage chronic pain. He has been public about the ways in which CBD has helped him and has even supported CBD on a legal level. Marvin is a part of the group challenging the 1970 Controlled Substance Act, arguing that cannabis should not be classed as a schedule one drug.
#2 Mike Tyson
Mike Tyson, a former boxing champion, has not only been extremely public about his use of CBD but has gone one step further, launching his own Cannabis company, Tyson Holistic Holdings. Tyson owns over 40 acres of land in California, and has even started his own marijuana farm, which has been called Cannabis Resort.
Having personally used CBD to treat pain, Tyson hopes that his own brand of CBD products, along with his own Marijuana strain, will help people access the benefits of CBD. One of his long-term goals is to expand his brand to include products such as hemp-infused drinks, topicals, and packaged weed.
#3 Tom Hanks
Tom Hanks is just one of the many celebrities who have turned to CBD to help manage and treat anxiety. Tom has been incredibly open with the public about his experience with anxiety as a result of his career. He has discussed at length how CBD has been able to help him control anxiety and continue with his successful acting career.
Tom Hanks has also been working closely with Cornell University in their research on CBD and how it can be used to treat Type 2 Diabetes. The ongoing study also hopes to learn more about how CBD can be used by those who suffer from stress.
#4 Morgan Freeman
Morgan Freeman has been an advocate of CBD since being injured in a car crash in 2008. Since then, Freeman has suffered from severe muscle pain and has discussed how he turned to plant-based medicines to help him manage the pain.
In recent years, he has found CBD to be one of the most effective plant-based methods of managing what has become chronic pain.
#5 Mandy Moore
Mandy Moore has discussed in the media how she uses CBD oil to treat pain. In particular, she has talked about using CBD oil when wearing high heels to red carpet events. It reportedly helps alleviate foot pain. Moore has said she was originally recommended CBD oil by her stylist and had been using it ever since.
Mandy Moore is a great example of how people’s opinions on CBD have changed in recent years. CBD is no longer something that is being used solely for treating chronic conditions and illnesses like epilepsy. CBD is now being used in much the same way as other supplements and cosmetics, and may even help with small problems like foot pain caused by shoes.
