1. Amazon Accesses Rural India
Amazon has just released an app to help rural areas access the Internet as well as gain a stake in the market. Indian consumers are a big mobile emerging market that companies would love to take advantage of. Amazon and Walmart have actually been battling it out over Flipkart, India’s biggest e-commerce market. 2. Spotify, Free Users Rejoice
Are free users no longer second-class? Spotify free users will now get on-demand access to 15 select playlists that bypasses the usual annoying track shuffling. The good: you will be able to play any song you want inside those playlists. The bad: these playlists are Spotify pre-made. We can only hope the 15 playlists will be songs we actually enjoy listening to. No one wants a flashback to 2014 when U2’s new album was uploaded to everyone’s iTunes account.
