Google Has Your Back When It Comes To Flights
You know that feeling when an airline ticket suddenly increases $200 in an hour? The worst. Well, Google is trying to help avoid this feeling forever. Google Flights is adding a tool that predicts fare changes and notifies you prior to the change. Goodbye surprise price anger – hello serenity? Namaste Google. The price changing notifier is rolling outonline – no app yet. The tool uses historical data of flight prices in order to predict the exact day a flight is likely to increase. Another new feature to Google Flights is “Tips”. Not sure exactly where you want to go or when you want to go there? Tips is there to suggest alternate airports or dates that you may get a better deal on. Step aside Kayak, Google Flights is on the rise. (Source: Mashable)
Leave Your Car Keys At Home, Take Your iPhone Instead
iPhones are great because they can act as a phone, wallet, source of information, camera…the only thing missing is car keys! Until soon? Rumor has it that Apple is in talks of creating a self-driving car which would open by fingerprint. Just like your iPhone. Don’t get too excited though because members of Apple’s car team have been relocated or let go giving us the idea that the cars plans are being pushed. Those left on the car team are being told by executives they have by the end of 2017 to prove the feasibility of self-driving cars for Apple and move forward. (Source: Bloomberg)
Facebook Messenger Brings in Conversation Ideas
Facebook Messenger is starting to give conversation topics to their billion users. The conversation topics are listed at the top of the app and reference things your friends have done recently such as events they attended, locations they checked into or songs they recently streamed. As of right now, only a small test of people are being given conversation topics but will hopefully hit all users soon. (Source: TechCrunch)
