Amazon Introduces AR
We love the convenience of shopping on Amazon, but it can be hard to buy online if we can’t imagine how the item will look in our home. It’s easy to buy a box of La Croix that will go straight to our bellies; it’s not so easy to buy a lamp if we’re unsure if it will match the #aesthetic of our home. The Amazon app on iOS devices now includes AR View, which lets you view thousands of furniture and home décor products through augmented reality. You can move and rotate the items however you like around your home. Check out this video to see it in action. (Source: TechCrunch)
iStole iPhone
Wednesday morning, a UPS truck pulled up to the Stonestown Galleria Mall Apple store in San Francisco to make a couple deliveries. The driver locked up and went to a nearby Macy’s to drop off some goods first. While he was gone, three “husky” men wearing hoodies broke into the UPS truck and stole 313 iPhone X devices, worth around $370,000, and tore away in a white Dodge van. Luckily, customers who planned to pick up their iPhone X at the store still got their devices on time, but the investigation is ongoing. (Source: The Verge)
