Apple’s New TV Show | “Planet of The Apps”
If you watch Shark Tank and The Voice, these shows just had a baby. Apple revealed the first trailer of its TV series titled ‘Planet of the Apps’. Four celebrities turned judges will host the show: Will.I.am, Jessica Alba, Gwyneth Paltrow and Gary Vaynerchuck (one of our own!). and it will air once a week on Apple music. Teams have 60 seconds to convince the judges on their pitch. Winning teams will receive free guidance from companies like Uber and Yelp will be promoted on the App Store homepage. So you know that App idea you and your buddies have been tossing around? Opportunity, knocking. (Source: TechCrunch).
Dangit Dongle
If you are stressed out that your new Apple iPhone 7 doesn’t have a headphone jack (#firstworldproblems) there are several companies racing to help. Apple bundled a wacky adapter with the phone called a dongle, which takes up all the space of the single port – which isn’t always convenient. Ford Makes Hefty Investment in AI Startup
In a recent announcement, the automotive company invested $1 billion in AI driving startup, Argo AI. Argo AI is led by former members of Google and Uber’s development team. Ford’s goal is to have fully operating self-driving vehicles on the road by 2021, and this new deal shows they are serious. (Source: Mashable).
