The truth about UK business owner’s thoughts on business in the US
We all know that business in America is booming, and if you want your business to flourish, then America is always a great place to be. However, despite its reputation as the world’s largest economy, America isn’t for everyone.
American expansion experts; Foothold America, recently commissioned a survey to find out what UK based business owners really thought of doing business in the US. They wanted to know what made America an attractive location and what factors would discourage them from expanding there.
The survey found that more than half of UK business owners surveyed (51%) said that the election of Donald Trump as US president made them less or much less likely to expand to America. However, there were a number of factors that did make America more appealing. For many, the access to world-class talent was appealing for 35% of UK business owners and the absence of a language barrier made expanding to America a more appealing prospect for 46% of male business owners.
