LinkedIn’s career advice feature is now available to the public. Users can list preferences on what kind of mentor they want to be connected with, such as somebody in a certain industry. LinkedIn connects users with willing mentors, who can also filter through potential mentees and pick their favorites. LinkedIn believes there will be a large supply of these pro-bono career counselors since “89% of senior leaders currently give or would be interested in giving advice.” (Source: CNET)
