Report Indicates Brits Afraid for Privacy Under Trump
On the day of the Presidential Inauguration, a survey reveals that four out of five Brits are afraid that the incoming president will use their personal data for his personal gain. The online poll was carried out by YouGov, with 1,645 adults surveyed in the United Kingdom. Corresponding with Brexit the UK recently passed expansive new surveillance legislation that allows for hacking en masse in the name of security. A majority of the respondents said they do no trust Trump to only use surveillance powers for “legitimate reasons.” We will soon find out as Day 1 of the Presidency begins today. Tesla’s Autopilot Cleared
The rumor going around that Tesla had a recall is now over. After some months, Tesla can say their autopilot-enabled vehicles do not need to be recalled. The recall came about when a customer of Tesla crashed into a truck and died. The company was blamed for the autopilot malfunction. The investigation clears Tesla by showing that the car did work according to its intention. The fault was placed on the driver who was not paying attention to the road. Microsoft Giving Free Upgrades
Microsoft is now giving free upgrades to users of Windows Enterprise. The upgrade allows users of Windows Enterprise to update other devices they may have running Windows 7 or 8 to Windows Enterprise, without having to purchase a separate license for that device. The free upgrades apply to customers using Windows 10 Enterprise E3, E5, Secure Productive Enterprise E3, and E5. The update can be made to five devices and once the subscription for Windows Enterprise expires, the devices can revert back to using Windows 10 Pro. (Source: Digital Trends)
