Instagram Introduces Stories
Instagram is starting to take a lesson from Snapchat. It was only a matter of time. Today, Instagram announced Stories. Instagram is saying Stories let you share all the moments of your day, not just the ones you edit and perfect your feed. So Snapchat Stories but on Instagram. It works the exact same as Snapchat Stories too with the Story lasting 24 hours. Instagram CEO is giving credit where credit is due saying, “They [Snapchat] deserve all the credit, this isn’t about who invented something. This is about a format, and how you take it to a network and put your own spin on it.” This is changing things for Instagram because now brands, celebrities, and your BFF have more outlets to share their selfies, news and cats. Tesla Says I Do To SolarCity
Everyone’s favorite car of the future, Tesla, just signed a laaaarge deal. The company acquired SolarCity for $2.6 billion. SolarCity is a solar energy company which makes sense seeing as Tesla wants to be the one stop shop for sustainable energy. Some investors are questioning this acquisition but others are saying this is gonna be awesome. (Source: CNBC)
iPad or Computer?
Apple seems to be deciding whether their newest release is an iPad or a computer or a combo of the two. The iPad Pro released today is all about versatility. The iPad Pro gives you options of using a keyboard or taking the pen and doodling or just use it to watch Netflix and read e-books. Debatable on if you’d actually use the iPad Pro as a computer replacement but Apple is going to try. (Source: The Verge)
