TSA and the “Randomizer”
Follow the arrow. If you have flown recently you may have seen the TSA Randomizer app in all its glory. The app used by the people everyone loves to hate points pre-check flyers into the left or right lane – aka the random search lane or normal lane. The app idea is simple, the TSA member stands with an iPad and touch the screen as passengers arrive. But people aren’t talking about the random searches in this case – they are talking about how much cash was dropped. IBM created the app for $1.4 million. $1.4 million for arrows to point right and left. Technology, man. (Source CNET)
