Amazon is Killing Black Friday
Goodbye October, hello Christmas season. As we officially move into November, get your wallets ready for the impending Black Friday which will be here before you know it. Unless you want to shop at Amazon in which case they are saying why only have one day of shopping when you can have 2 months? The retail site launched Black Friday sales starting today which go until December 22 for all you last minute shoppers. Don’t get too excited though, Amazon isn’t throwing all their greatest deals at you immediately they are just warming up now. Expect the great sales during Black Friday week. (Source: Mashable)
Facepalm Emoji is Here
Apple is giving the people what they want. A facepalm emoji. Today, Apple released a beta version of iOS 10.2 with 72 new glorious emojis for texters to use. Obviously the faceplam is the best new emoji being introduced but other new ones include a black heart, crossed fingers, new professions such as teacher, chef, farmer, new food including bacon, milk and eggs. Facebook = Longer Life
We always hear about how great social media is but also how bad it is for our brains. Well, a new study is saying that time spent on social media leads to a longer life. Imagine that! The reasoning for this is that effects of active social lives online is similar to busy social lives offline. Makes perfect sense when you think about it. The study said that people with more friends online are less likely to die than their disconnected counterparts. So having 2,000 Facebook friends does have some benefit to it.
