1. Amazon is Taking Over
Amazon has been up to something. First, they bought Whole Foods for almost $14B, now the company bought an online pharmacy called “PillPack” for just under $1B. The online pharmacy ships meds right to your door. Now that Amazon is playing around in the healthcare industry, we better keep a close watch. What’s next? Oh yeah, the new Amazon Tap just came out after they released Alexa in hotels. The Amazon Tap is a portable Alexa with low battery life and a low-quality speaker. If that’s not enough, Amazon is also trying to let people start up their own business, allowing them to deliver Amazon packages. Amazon is that one friend who has to be a part of everything; always at the center of attention. #showoff

2. Android LG V40 to Compete with Apple
A new smartphone, the LG V40, is launching soon and will feature 5 different cameras (because one camera isn’t enough). Two cameras will be on the front of the phone and three on the back. The phone will also have face recognition to unlock. Forbes calls the third camera on the back a “mystery lens” as they try to understand how all of these cameras will work. If rumors are true, the LG V40 smartphone will feature highly competitive camera hardware, bringing our selfie game to the next level.

3. SchoolWork App Just in Time for School
Apple launched a free app for teachers to help them in the classroom. Just in time for school, this app lets teachers create assignments and track the students’ progress. Since younger kids are getting more and more tech-savvy, this seems like the perfect way to go. This method saves a lot of paper, materials and time. The app alerts students of assignment due dates and offers collaborative features, allowing students to share information with each other. With all of the in-app assignments and submissions, it sounds like teachers got tired of the excuse, “my dog ate my homework.”
