10 Million Android Devices Infected
If you have an Android phone, you might be in trouble…10 million Androids have been infected with a malware. The malware is called HummingBad and was originated in Beijing, China. What exactly does HummingBad do? Discovered in February, the malware generates and installs fraudulent ads. These faux ads gained the company $300,000 a month. The scary thing about HummingBad is besides the 20 million ads a day they are displaying, the group can carry out attacks on government agencies and sell this access to other criminals. 500,000 Hoverboards Recalled
Remember when everyone was obsessed with hoverboards? Turns out the wheelie toys are a fire hazard. The lithium-ion battery packs have had trouble with overheating and exploding causing injuries and damage. Suddenly, hovering around isn’t so fun anymore. 267,000 of the recalled boards come from Swagway along with recalls coming from eight other manufacturers and two retailers. (Source: The Verge)
