Edutainment video game developer Schell Games came into the limelight when they announced the game I Expect You To Die. The virtual reality game is based on an espionage theme that allows gamers to solve puzzles and rewards them afterwards. The developer apparently wasn’t done with the virtual reality concept. They recently announced their latest project, HoloLAB Champions. It is an educational experience that puts its users in a chemistry-themed game show. As soon as they release this VR game, they will offer it to schools and educators for free.
The virtual reality game will debut in two thirty-minute episodes. Students and gamers alike will be given the opportunities to explore a number of science experiments. The more experiments you complete, the easier it will be to get to the game’s grand finale. Schell Games added a competitive aspect to the game by giving the users a leaderboard to compare their scores.
When Schell Games CEO gave a briefing of the game, he said the game was designed to help students with their chemistry problems. He highlighted the problems high school students’ weather while trying to understand the subject. He highlighted the dismal performance by students in the subject as a key barrier to developments in medicine and science-related careers. The game was also designed to help schools cut down on the high costs and risks of maintaining a lab. The simulation will help students get comfortable with science equipment while cutting down on these costs.
