Vine Founders Create a New App

Rus Yusupov and co-founder Colin Kroll, the creators of Vine, developed a new app called HQ. This game is catching on fast, increasing from 4,000 users per game to more than 16,000 in just one week. The hype comes from the “appointment gaming” concept – players must log in either at 3 p.m. or 9 p.m. ET for a 13-minute round of questions, with 10 seconds allocated to answering each one. You must be quick on your toes since 10 seconds isn’t much time to Google the answer. If you answer all 12 questions correctly, you’re entered into a giveaway up to $500. Legendary news anchor Dan Rather won on Christmas Day, splitting the winnings between the other players in the drawing. (Source: The Verge)

 

President Obama and Erik Qualman Share the Same Social Use Opinion

Prince Harry conducted an interview with President Obama, which led to a discussion about social media use in leadership roles. Obama said, “it’s important for people to get offline and meet others in their communities, because the truth is that on the internet everything is simplified. When you meet people face-to-face it turns out they are complicated.” Obama fears that when prejudices are announced online, it reinforces people’s already pre-perceived biases. Bitcoin’s 2018 Prediction

Is the volatility of Bitcoin an indication that the cryptocurrency bubble is about to burst? According to Nick Colas, co-founder of DataTrek Research, “Bitcoin can rally to $22,000 and still be reasonably priced, or plummet to $6,500 and also be correctly valued.” Colas is among the first to analyze Bitcoin’s 2018 outcome and has predicted a midpoint range of $14,035 for a reasonable price point.
