With this year’s Emmy nominations announced, Netflix has emerged as a clear powerhouse of entertainment. From releasing its first original content (House of Cards) in 2013 to battling Redbox and Hulu, Netflix is finally at the top of the streaming service social ladder along with HBO. The company’s success is powered by data analytics and evolved technology. Back in 2013, Netflix’s chief content officer said, “The goal is to become HBO faster than HBO can become us.” As the competition between these two streaming services wages on, cable companies are just mere bystanders. New York-based WeWork is planning to rapidly expand across Latin America. With five locations in operation across Latin America, the company aims to open an additional ten locations by January. WeWork hopes to bring shared work spaces to larger communities and multinationals.
