A new unlocking system is in the works for the next Apple iPhone. The company hopes to replace fingerprinting with facial recognition technology for unlocking screens, logging into accounts, and approving payments. Apple is also testing out eye scanning with speedy and accurate sensors. With the precision of facial recognition, this new unlocking system would prove more secure than the Touch ID system currently in place as well as Samsung’s former eye scanning counterpart. Silicon Valley’s Blacklist
The recent resignation of 500 Startups founder and CEO Dave McClure marks just one of the many incidents of sexual misconduct in Silicon Valley. From Uber to Binary Capital, many females employees have come forward regarding their experiences of sexual harassment in the workplace. LinkedIn co-founder and Greylock Partners VC, Reid Hoffman, suggested that VC firms adopt a pledge to ensure partners follow human decency. Tesla: Episode III
The highly anticipated production model of Tesla’s Model 3 will arrive this Friday. Model 3 is the company’s major attempt to bring electric cars to the public, and this new model will be much more reasonably priced compared to the expensive Model S and Model X. Starting at $35,000, Model 3 is expected to change the future of Tesla. Production is projected to grow exponentially – nearly 20,000 models per month by December. (Source: The Verge)
