Samsung Reveals Galaxy S8
When you hear the name Samsung these days, what’s the first thing that pops into your head? Exploding phones? Company downfall? Samsung hopes to change this perception with its recently revealed Galaxy S8. Set for a release date of April 21, Samsung’s new device ditches the physical home button for an all touch-screen experience. The device also implements the company’s new proprietary AI, Bixby. Its Plus model makes for the tallest screen size (6.2 inches) in the current phone market. (Source: TechCrunch)
SpaceX Reusable Rocket
After more than two years after its rocket launch, SpaceX has sent one of its used Falcon9 rockets back into space. This marks the first time an orbital rocket has launched into space for a second time. CEO Elon Musk spoke on the rocket launch: “It means you can fly and refly an orbital class booster, which is the more expensive part of the rocket. This is going to be, ultimately, a huge revolution in space flight.” (Source: The Verge)
Facebook Stories
Much like Instagram, Facebook has created a stories feature on its mobile app allowing users to view their friends real-time. Along with this update, Facebook Messenger now allows users to share their “live location” with friends. This new update is similar to Google Map’s location sharing, but unlike Google, Facebook only allows this for one hour. Yay! Now all those friends from middle school, that you didn’t speak with even when you were actually in middle school, can now see what you’re doing! (Source: Mashable)
