#GivingTuesday
After Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday, it’s time to give back. #GivingTuesday is the day when nonprofits ask for donations. If you have yet to check social media today, social media is going wild for #GivingTuesday. Facebook is supporting #GivingTuesday by reminding users when they log-in. Facebook has teamed up with The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation who will match $500,000 in donations made through Facebook, with $1,000 per fundraiser. Facebook is waiving the fees of donations for up to $500,000 worth. Donate to your favorite charity today! (Source: Facebook)
Do You Want A Cool Mac Background?
Back in October, Google released a Wallpapers app for Android. The Wallpapers app had beautiful, scenic pictures for users to use as a screensaver. Life Hack: Calendar Notifications
If you have found that your iPhone is giving you spam like calendar notifications, you’re not alone. In the past few weeks, many have found that they are getting annoying, irrelevant notifications from their Calendar, all linking back to Chinese email addresses. Many have been tweeting Apple saying the notifications had been inviting them to various sales and they did not sign up for any of this. If you are one of the people encountering this problem here’s what to do:
- Don’t decline the invite – this shows the sender you are an active account
- Change your iCal settings – signing in through iCloud, change your settings to get event invitations emailed to you. This means they won’t be sent as an annoying push notification.
We hope this solves your iCal frustration. (Source: Mashable)
