Fans lined up last night in get their hands on the newest Apple product this morning, the iPhone 7. But the iPhone 7 Plus and the jet black iPhone 7 are still sold out and will not be available in stores. If that’s not tragic enough, Apple has stated that they will have “limited quantities” of the iPhone in the colors silver, gold, rose gold and black in stores. Therefore, if the lines outside of Apple retailers seem unusually small, it’s because “limited quantities” can only go so far. (Source: Mashable, BuzzFeed)
Formal Recall of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has been formally recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) due to overheating and exploding of batteries. Those who own the phone are entitled to a refund, which retails between $850 to $890, or a replacement. All phones sold before September 15 are considered recalled. If you just can’t seem to figure out if you have a recalled phone or not, look at your IMEI number then call Samsung or visit Samsung.com. Canada and Mexico are also in the recalled club. Just Something to Make Your Day Brighter
Natalie Hampton, an 11th-grader from California, developed the app “Sit With Us.” The aim of the app is to provide students who sit alone a place to sit with others. Hampton created the app because she personally endured the feeling of what it was like to sit alone in a lunchroom. Students who sign up with the app can become ambassadors and “agree to post open lunches, so that anyone who has the app and has nowhere to go can find a table.” Hampton says that since the release of the app, “results have been very, very positive.” (Source: NPR)
