#TrumpSacrifices
Donald Trump and Khizr and Ghazala Khan, Muslim American parents of the captain who lost his life in Iraq, had a “little” dispute last weekend. Mr. Khan spoke at the DNC campaign and brought up Trump not holding back on his opinion of him. Mr. Khan expressed his dissatisfaction with Trump’s choice of temporarily banning Muslims from entering the country. He then said Trump has “sacrificed nothing” and remarked on his lack of knowledge on the U.S. Constitution. Trump retaliated with a “nuh uh” and exclaimed Mr. Khan had no right to make such a remark. Social media also blew up with Trump’s comment on how Mrs. Khan might not have been allowed to have anything to say – people took this as an anti-Muslim comment. And the drama continues. Hillary Clinton’s campaign was hacked as well, and she blames it on Trump and the Russians working together to overthrow her. Talk about some serious shade being thrown. Miss Teen USA Controversy
Miss Teen USA Karlie Hay is in a crossfire for her Twitter account. Karlie Hay was crowned Miss Teen USA in Las Vegas on Saturday. Soon after, her past crept up as tweets have been found of her using the N-word. People have demanded Karlie be uncrowned, but The Miss Universe Organization, owner of the teen pageant, is letting her keep the crown as they’ll support her “continual growth.” “I admit that I have used language publicly in the past which I am not proud of and that there is no excuse for,” Hay said.
“Through hard work, education and thanks in large part to the sisterhood that I have come to know through pageants, I am proud to say that I am today a better person.” Sounds like a desperate feat to save face. Didi Chuxing Invests in Uber
Uber is selling its operations in China to its rival Didi Chuxing. This is the end of the vicious price war that has occurred between the two companies, or price domination, as Uber lost billions in the fight. Didi Chuxing has been trying to find a way to fight off the competition, and this seems to be the best of both worlds. Part of the deal entails Didi to invest $1 billion in the Uber company. Some experts say this deal will be worth it in the long run because Uber’s losses in China were affecting their global operations. Didi’s valuation will amount to $35 billion, as Uber was last valued at $68 billion. Reminder that Apple invested $1 billion in Didi so they’ll be scoring big with this win too – around $250 million.
