Ahhh Affleck..
Remember that awkward time when you tried to convince everyone you’re sober but everyone at the party’s convinced you spiked the punch? Yeah, that must be how Ben Affleck feels right now after appearing on the series premiere of Bill Simmons’ “Any Given Wednesday.” A fired up Affleck was ranting and raving about Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady, which is all fine and dandy but the Batman star was slurring his words worse than the neighborhood quack that hangs out on the corner. Watch the video and decide for yourself #AffleckAnger the spit flying from his mouth shows it all, here’s the video. (Source: TMZ)
New Drone Laws Ground Amazon’s Plans
“Alright sir, I’m gonna need you to perform a K-turn. Good. Very nice control. And now, would you mind parallel parking your drone for me? Wonderful. You’re doing great.”
Some of the most notable new rules:
Commercial drones must weigh less than 55 lbs.
Drones can’t fly over people (unless they’re involved in the operation)
Drones must stay within the line of sight of the operator at all times (and no binoculars, you cheaters!)
Drones cannot be flown at night, across state lines, above 400 feet, or in excess of 100 mph
In other words…
Companies like Amazon, Alphabet and Walmart, who all hope to run drone delivery services in the future, just suffered a pretty big gut-punch…at least for now.
It’s highly likely that the FAA will amend these rules in the near future to make drone deliveries a reality. Regulations are typically overly cautious at first. (Source: The Hustle)
Ghostbot Auto Sends Dating Rejection Texts for You
Are you kicking yourself in the butt because you gave all those random Tinderee’s your number at 3 a.m.? Now someone named Joe is texting you and wants you to come over and meet his mom. That’s where Ghostbot comes in, the first ever app to save you from the awkwardness of sending rejection texts. Ghosting is a new trend in the dating waters where you cease all communication with a possible suitor. Ghostbot was designed to help you with the weirdness by interpreting incoming messages and sending responses for you. The somewhat snippy but cordial texts go something like this, “Sorry it’s just me and pizza emoji tonight”. The app was created by Ad Hoc Labs in conjunction with Burner, an app that gives you temporary phone numbers. We wonder if we can submit suggestions to Ghostbot… “I can’t make our date tonight, I’m busy making all the recipes I’ve seen on Buzzfeed.” (Source: The Guardian)
