1. Russians Uncover Trump Burn Book
Russian hackers got into the computer network of the Democratic National Committee (DNC). They were able to read all emails (with the exception of Hillary’s personal Gmail account — oh, Bern!), chat traffic, and even pulled the DNC’s opposition research on Donald Trump.
This burn book on Trump was published yesterday… 237 pages and it looks like they were just warming up. If you have time to read it — our heart hurts for you — at least read it by the beach. Go here to read it. We’ll wait for Cliff to make a Notes version of it…or perhaps another John Oliver rant on Trump video?

2. Big 5 Dominate US Digital Ad Revenue
US digital ad spending grew to almost $60B. 65% of the revenue went to 5 companies. Yep, five. Free cookie (not a digital advertising cookie — you nerds) if you can guess them… Facebook, Google, Yahoo, Twitter, and Verizon.
Yesterday, the Pew Research Center released their annual “State of the News Media” report. Newspaper daily circulation fell 7%, ad revenue at publicly-traded newspapers fell 8%, and newsroom staffing continues to diminish. Womp. Soon the only quality reporting will be found on NPR.

3. Steph Curry sets Twitter Ablaze After Hitting Boy with Mouth Guard
Reigning MVP Steph Curry, the one that looks like the boy next door and has tons of endorsements to show for it, lost his cool and threw his mouthpiece into the stands. His mouthpiece hit an underage fan. A few tweets and Facebook posts about it #understatement. Not helping the cause was Curry’s wife tweeting about the “terrible” officiating and NBA conspiracy theories.
Why was Curry so upset? The Cleveland Cavaliers (Lebron James) beat his Golden State Warriors for the second consecutive game to tie the series at 3-3; reminder this is the NBA Finals and the Warriors were up 3-1. The final game will be played this Sunday at Golden State. Golden State broke the NBA record for most wins in a s season so it would be an epic Buzz Kill if they didn’t win the NBA title. Meanwhile, the televisions networks and NBA are doing chest bumps around the additional revenue these extra games have created.
